Exodous 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
Leviticus 19:26
Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood: neither shall ye use
enchantment, nor observe times.
Leviticus 19:31
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after
wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 20:6
And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and
after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face
against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Leviticus 20:27
A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a
wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with
stones: their blood shall be upon them.
Deuteronomy 18:9-14
When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee,
thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or
his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or
an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or
a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and
because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out
from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. For
these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of
times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not
suffered thee so to do.
2 Kings 21:1-6
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned
fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was
Hephzibah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD,
after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before
the children of Israel. For he built up again the high places which
Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal,
and made a grove, as did Ahab king of Israel; and worshipped all the
host of heaven, and served them. And he built altars in the house of
the LORD, of which the LORD said, In Jerusalem will I put my name.
And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of
the house of the LORD. And he made his son pass through the fire,
and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar
spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the
LORD, to provoke him to anger.
2 Kings 23:24-25
Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the
images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in
the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he
might perform the words of the law which were written in the book
that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. And like
unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with
all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might,
according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any
like him.
1 Chronicles 10:13-14
So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the
LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also
for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of
it; And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned
the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
Isaiah 8:19-20
And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar
spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a
people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? To the law
and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it
is because there is no light in them.
Ezekiel 21:18-23
The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, Also, thou son of
man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon
may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose
thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city. Appoint
a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to
Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. For the king of Babylon stood at
the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use
divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he
looked in the liver. At his right hand was the divination for
Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter,
to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams
against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort. And it
shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them
that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity,
that they may be taken.
Acts 16:16-18
And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel
possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her
masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and
cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God,
which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days.
But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command
thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out
the same hour.
Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft,
hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the
which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that
they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Revelation 21:7-8
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the
abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and
idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which
burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 22:14-15
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right
to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the
city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
