dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it
reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and
descending on it.

this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding
sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood
upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made
obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou
indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us?
And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words.
And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and
said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and
the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. And he told it
to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and
said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I
and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to
thee to the earth?
Genesis 37:19-20
And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now

Genesis 40:5-9
And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one
night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the
butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the
prison. And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon
them, and, behold, they were sad. And he asked Pharaoh's officers
that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying,
Wherefore look ye so sadly to day? And they said unto him, We have
dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph
said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me
them, I pray you. And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph,
and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

Genesis 41:1-17
And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh
dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river. And, behold, there came
up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and
they fed in a meadow. And, behold, seven other kine came up after
them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by
the other kine upon the brink of the river. And the ill favoured
and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine.
So Pharaoh awoke. And he slept and dreamed the second time: and,
behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung
up after them. And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and
full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream. And it
came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he
sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men
thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that
could interpret them unto Pharaoh. Then spake the chief butler unto
Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth
with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard's
house, both me and the chief baker: And we dreamed a dream in one
night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation
of his dream. And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew,
servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he
interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he
did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it
was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. Then
Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of
the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and
came in unto Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a
dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard
say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it.
And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall
give Pharaoh an answer of peace. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my
dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
Genesis 41:22-26

full and good: And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and
blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them: And the thin ears
devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians;
but there was none that could declare it to me. And Joseph said
unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh
what he is about to do. The seven good kine are seven years; and
the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.

giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to
pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other
gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt
not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of
dreams: for the Lord your God proveth you, to know whether ye love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye
shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his
commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave
unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put
to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord
your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed
you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which
the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the
evil away from the midst of thee.

dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo,
a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came
unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the
tent lay along. And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing
else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel:
for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host. And
it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the
interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the
host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the Lord hath delivered into
your hand the host of Midian.

It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he
eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty
man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold,
he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of
all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.
Jeremiah 23:27-28
Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams
which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have
forgotten my name for Baal. The prophet that hath a dream, let him
tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word
faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord.
Jeremiah 27:9

dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep
brake from him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and
the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew
the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. And the
king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was
troubled to know the dream. Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in
Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we
will shew the interpretation. The king answered and said to the
Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto
me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in
pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill. But if ye shew the
dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts
and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the
interpretation thereof. They answered again and said, Let the king
tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of
it. The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would
gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me. But if ye
will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for
you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before
me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I
shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof.

the interpretation thereof? Daniel answered in the presence of the
king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the
wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew
unto the king; But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets,
and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the
latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed,
are these;

bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might
make known unto me the interpretation of the dream. Then came in the
magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and
I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me
the interpretation thereof. But at the last Daniel came in before
me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god,
and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told
the dream, saying, O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians,
because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no
secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have
seen, and the interpretation thereof.
