Genesis 28:12-15
And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the
earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of
God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God
of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou
liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt
spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to
the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the
earth be blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places
whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I
will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to
thee of.
Psalms 12:7
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them
from this generation for ever.
Psalms 15:1-5
LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell
in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh
the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his
neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them
that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth
not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward
against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be
moved.
Psalms 16:10-11
or thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt
thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of
joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 17:15
As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I
shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

length of days for ever and ever.

of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalms 25:12-13

teach in the way that he shall choose. His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the
earth.
Psalms 36:9
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light
shall we see light.
Psalms 37:9-11
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon
the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou
shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight
themselves in the abundance of peace.
Psalms 37:27-29
Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they
are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
Psalms 49:6-20
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in
the multitude of their riches; None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God
a ransom for him: (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for
ever:) That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish
person perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for
ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their
lands after their own names. Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the
beasts that perish. This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their
sayings. Selah. Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them;
and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and
their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he
shall receive me. Selah. Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his
house is increased; For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall
not descend after him. Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise
thee, when thou doest well to thyself. He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never
see light. Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts
that perish.
Psalms 69:28
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and
not be written with the righteous.
Psalms 115:16-18
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the
earth hath he given to the children of men. The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into
silence. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
Praise the LORD.
Psalms 116:8-9
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes
from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
Psalms 118:17-20
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of
the LORD. The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over
unto death. Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I
will praise the LORD: This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name:
the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more:
but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
Proverbs 10:27-30
The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years
of the wicked shall be shortened. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation
of the wicked shall perish. The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction
shall be to the workers of iniquity. The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not
inhabit the earth.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and
they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul;
but he that despiseth his ways shall die.

Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body
shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew
is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.
Isaiah 51:6
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the
earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the
earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein
shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my
righteousness shall not be abolished.
Isaiah 51:11
Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and
come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their
head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning
shall flee away.
Daniel 12:1-3
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great
prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there
shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a
nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be
delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting
contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for
ever and ever.
Hosea 13:14
I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will
redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I
will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in
him: but the just shall live by his faith.

which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:27
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his
Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according
to his works.
Matthew 18:8-9
herefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them
off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into
life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be
cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:
it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than
having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That
ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man
shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve
thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters,
or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's
sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting
life. But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be
first.
Matthew 25:44-46
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when
saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or
sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it
not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the
righteous into life eternal.
Mark 8:34-38
And when he had called the people unto him with his
disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever
shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall
save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world,
and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in
this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of
man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the
holy angels.
Luke 9:23-26
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever
will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and
lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him
shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own
glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.
Luke 10:25-28
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him,
saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and
with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou
shalt live.
Luke 13:5
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all
likewise perish.
John 3:15-17
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but
that the world through him might be saved.
John 5:21
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth
them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
John 5:24-29
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall
not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is,
when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that
hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the
Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he
is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that
are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the
resurrection of damnation.
John 5:39-40
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of
all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise

seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and
I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:47-51
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me
hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may
eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat
of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will
give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
John 8:51
Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying,
he shall never see death.
John 10:28
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 12:23-26
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that
the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into
the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth
forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his
life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there
shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father
honour.
John 12:50
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I
speak.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but
ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
John 17:2-3
As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he
should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true
God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Acts 13:48
And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and
glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to
eternal life believed.
Romans 5:12-21
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have
sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed
when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them
that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression,
who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through
the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the
gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto
many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the
judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many
offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they
which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness
shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came
upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by
the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But
where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign
through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:6-11
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually
minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of
Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the
Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell
in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans 8:13
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye
through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
1 Corinthians 6:14
And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will
also raise up us by his own power.
2 Corinthians 5:1-4
For we know that if our earthly house of this
tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not
made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with
our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not
for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality
might be swallowed up of life.
Galatians 6:7-8
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a
man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those
women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and
with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even
as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them
also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which
are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with
the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall
we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good
profession before many witnesses.

is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath
promised to them that love him.

tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he
that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 3:14-15
We know that we have passed from death unto life,
because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth
in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no
murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1 John 4:9
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because
that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might
live through him.
1 John 5:11-13
And this is the record, that God hath given to us
eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of
God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that
ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 John 5:20
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given
us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are
in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true
God, and eternal life.
Revelation 2:9-11
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but
thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are
Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the
devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and
ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and
I will give thee a crown of life. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the
churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
Revelation 7:14-17
nd I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said
to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have
washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day
and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall
dwell among them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall
the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall
wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him,
whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain
from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 20:11-15
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on
it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there
was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the
books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of
life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were
written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every
man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the
second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast
into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:4-8
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are
passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things
new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the
fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his
God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and
murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all
liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death.
Revelation 21:27
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing
that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a
lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that
they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through
the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:17-19
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him
that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And
whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the
prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God
shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and
out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this
book.
